Our family's favorite

We live very close to A Dong and go there on a regular basis. Until seven or eight years ago, I was unfamiliar with Vietnamese food. What a wonderful surprise! It has a great fresh taste without a hint of being overly processed. The menu is extensive, yet VERY reasonable, and if you are a vegetarian, this place is heaven. Try a spring roll for starters. The decor is plain, but made lively by the bustle of the neighborhood types.

I am no afficionado of Vietnamese cuisine, but I have travelled extensively in the US and abroad, and have found a Vietnamese restaurant [I like]. Whenever I am in Des Moines, I always schedule a lunch here.
